Cartagena is a nice, beachside city
on the coast of Colombia, no doubt that it is an attracting place that helps tourism industry within minutes. No matter how full of people it gets, it seems like none of these people noticed what is obviously and desperately needs help!
Saori's desperate need didn't have people's attention
Saori was begging for help in vain no one ever noticed her or heard her desperately calls. Saori's whole story started when a local was walking along the beach and suddenly she noticed a severely emaciated dog sitting in front of the police station.
Thankfully, someone has noticed the poor dog and decided taking action to help her.
That's when
Violeta Barrero put out an urgent plea for some assistance on her Facebook account. Thankfully, Cartagena Paws responded to her Facebok post and shared it, asking for someone to step and rescue her!
"Could someone with a car please help us, we need someone who is willing to drive us to Playa Blanca to pick up this poor dog up and bring him to the clinic. I will never understand how people can go to Playa Blanca and see a dog in such a horrible state and continue to eat their lunch and not even share a bite of food with the dog. It is inhumane!"
Saori has just experienced care for her first time
Saori was taken by a car and brought to a shelter. After a warm bath and a needed check-up by a vet, it was crystal clear how skinny Saori is and what she was struggling!
When the team of rescue first offered her food, she refused to eat which indicates a severe starvation that she has suffered for a long time! They tried again and gave her some fried chicken, she ate slowly and very little.
Saori still need more help!
Few days later, she began to trust again in humans. She still has a long trip of recovery ahead. If you want to help
