Although this giant giraffe in the video below seems to be on the move with her slender long legs, she is ready to deliver her baby!
The staff at the Taronga Western plains Zoo in Sydney, Australia was so delighted to welcome their newest giraffe calf, and they were also much happier to eyewitness the precious moments when Amahle arrived to the world. The incredible
video below does not show only the very first steps of the newborn giraffe calf, but it shows the whole miraculous event since its very beginning! What an amazing moments to capture on a camera!
It is really amazing to watch how the newborn calf stands with those wobbly legs, I know this is common among many animal species,
such as this newborn deer twin calves, but still, it is a very inspiring scene to watch!
Giraffes have a kind of shocking arrival to the world. They are dropped from their 6-feet-high mom's womb to the ground! However, despite of the shocking fall, the baby giraffe in the video begins to get his bearings within few minutes later. During that time, and just like almost all animals, the mom does the cleaning job for her baby licking him, and within less than an hour,
the calf stands and takes his first steps in the world!
While these moments are priceless to witness in person, it still amazing to have them recorded on that wonderful video!
Please take in consideration that video captures the birth from start to end. You had better not miss a second of this gasping miracle, but if you are too squeamish, you may want to skip the first half of it!
