A human-wolf encounter, the first of its kind

24-11-2015 01-47-57 م Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)  is an anxiety disorder that can develop after a person is exposed to one or more traumatic events.  It is a mental health condition that’s triggered by a terrifying event — through first hand experience or personally witnessed events.  It is known now as the plague many soldiers return with from war. This is the condition that many of our brave veterans suffer from after returning home and it doesn't make life any easier. Among the different methods to alleviate the symptoms, is interaction with animals.  This method has proven to be successful. Using animals as part of the healing process, has a magical effect on the veterans' psychological therapy and it has been proven to be very effective and useful. 24-11-2015 01-46-28 م We've just noticed how wonderful and helpful the dogs can be in calming down a veteran who suffers from (PTSD).  It is the causes of overwhelming emotional wounds. Horses are just as incredible as dogs and have a similar ability to calm veterans down and bring them to peace as we've seen through equine therapy conducted at Boulder Crest Retreat in Bluemont, VA. There is a more surprising program that offers help to veterans to move on from this painful and the endless struggl: "Warriors and Wolves", at the Lockwood Animal Rescue Center in Frazier Park, CA, veterans with (PTSD) heal with the help of rescued wolves. It is a little bit risky, but these rescued wolves are well trained and can interact with humans. 24-11-2015 01-45-20 م “There’s something about being part of nature. There’s something about being around these animals,” co-founder/veteran Matthew Simmons told Great Big Story, “To even the most wounded veteran, they feel different. It keeps them a part of something greater than themselves.” It's heartwarming seeing wolves interacting with the veterans and producing positive feedback and magical results. For veteran Jim Minick, nothing seemed to succeed until he entered the program. Share this inspirational story with your friends!
