A couple of neighbors knew there was a dog in a horrible condition. He was tied to a tree behind a house, totally ignored and left to starve.
The neighbors decided to take positive action and check on the dog!
They were shocked when they found the dog in the horrible condition he was in. They right away ran to fetch him water and some food. First they thought that the dog was abandoned and left behind, tied to that tree, but they were shocked to find a man coming through the gate 20 minutes later!!
The "unwanted" dog,
Ganesh, finally found someone who heard his silent cries for desperate help!
Ganesh's rescuers made up their minds to take action.
“We confronted him and his response was ‘that’s my nephew’s dog, he left him here months ago and I’m not interested in taking care of him’. The man then asked if they wanted him, to which they immediately said ‘yes’.
They managed to reach out to
South Florida Animal Control but they were shocked when the agency told them that
Ganesh might be put down due to his serious condition! So the neighbors decided to rescue and keep the dog themselves.
They walked
Ganesh home and gave him a warm bath, the neighbors said
“He was so happy just to be able to walk and even run for the first time in who knows how long.”
Ganesh is an Argentino mix and his rescuers welcomed him into their homes to foster him, explaining this on their GoFundMe page
“He has adjusted wonderfully to our animal home. We have three other doggies that have welcomed him sweetly to their pack and a kitty who warms up more each day that passes to his gentle attempts to be her friend,”
