This Cat Saved a Little Boy’s Life, and Won the “Hero Dog” Award For It

7-15-2015 11-34-34 AM Cats are definitely lovely pets. With their adorable faces and fluffy furs, they are quite hard to resist! And although cats are generally sleepy creatures, it’s undeniable that sometimes they get extra playful and extra curious, which is never a good combination! Cats playing with random objects is always fun to watch, until they break something, which usually happens! But still, we love cats more than anything, because nothing feels as good as the moment when they cuddle up to us and purr with happiness. This story proves that there’s much more to cats than just that. Cats are actually very intelligent animals, and this story proves to us that they can be loyal and protective. 7-15-2015 11-35-07 AM The security footage video, which was taken in May 2014, shows Tara bravely defending her 6-year-old friend, Jeremy Triantafilo. Jeremy is the son of Tara’s family, and while playing in their driveway, Scrappy, a chow-mix from next door, attacked him viciously. Seeing the situation, Tara flew outside and threw herself at the dog, and her defense was so strong and so sudden that she actually succeeded in chasing the dog away and saving Jeremy’s life. And for heroic actions, Tara was actually given the 33rd annual Hero Dog award from a shelter in LA in June. Everyone was so amazed by Tara’s action, and she deserved to be awarded for her heroic and selfless defense of Jeremy, because of which that boy is now alive and well. Along with the award, Tara gets a life supply of cat food. However, she’s not going to relax, she still keeps a watchful eye on Jeremy. 7-15-2015 11-35-35 AM The word “dog” was scratched from the award, and “cat” was written instead. We couldn’t tell if Tara was excited, but I’m sure she was glad her little boy is doing well! Share this amazing story with your family and friends.
