Sadly, many species in the animal kingdom are endangered today. The animal kingdom is a place for many species that just make our mouths drop because of how amazing and unusual they are. And unfortunately, due to many environmental reasons and hunting, some of those species tend to die out.
But despite that, environmental activists are trying their best to conserve what’s left of those species, and it’s the most wonderful thing to see when a species makes a comeback. One of these species is the gray wolf. The gray wolf is an endangered animal who used to live in the wilderness of the state of California.
In an announcement made by officials on Thursday 20th of August, it was confirmed that the gray wolf has emerged again California for the first time since the 1920s.A pack of five cubs and two adults was spotted in the wilderness after officials placed cameras following the observation of one adult gray wolf earlier.
These amazing photos show the pack of gray wolves, which was named the Shasta pack.
The five cubs shown in the photos are believed by experts to be only a few months old. Luckily, since the gray wolves were listed under the California Endangered Species Act in June 2014, these adorable cubs will be able to grow up healthily without being hunted, harassed, or attacked.
But because the gray wolves might pose some dangers to humans if they get out of the wilderness, the state officials are discussing a draft plan to manage the territory in which the wolves stay, in order to protect both the wolves and citizens.
Isn’t it amazing? Gray wolves are wonderful, we are hoping that they lose the endangered status soon. Don’t forget to share this interesting news with your family and friends!
