The Tiger Shark, a tiger species which has many other nicknames like the Sea Tiger, itslength is about six meters, was hunted today and it was hauled onto a fishing boat in the Australian coast this weekend! The tiger shark's jaws stripped out to be kept as a trophy.
Geoff Brooks, who had posted two photos of the tiger shark, explained that the tiger shark was caught 7 miles off the beach near Lennox Head on the northern New South Wales coast, Australia. Geoff Brooks also explained that the killing of the shark was an order after it was the one responsible for many local attacks. He also said that he can't confirm if the shark was killed intentionally,but at the same time, it was reported that the tiger shark was caught in nets that surrounded the Lennox Head area.
He added that they may have photos but they don't know where the body is now. Some reports said the body was sent to fish markets, and some other reports said that the body was sent to theCSIRO, but they never confirmed or announced that they have received the shark's body until now. The staff said that they had seen the photos of the tiger shark but they don't know where it is.
Later, it was reported by The Northern Star that who killed the sea tiger is a fisherman who confirmed that he is the one who caught the shark and also he is the one who took photos. He confirmed that he stripped out its jaw as a trophy. He also said that his goal was to catch a hammerhead that was about six feet long, he was so close to catching it, but accidently the tiger shark came and ate the hammerhead.The fisherman saw many other sharks but he said that they were younger.
It's known that there are lots of shark species that are known to be dangerous to humans and one of them is that Sea Tiger. It is known also that there are lots of white sharks in the area which is affecting the business, lots of people are afraid of being attacked. A helicopter team patroled the area and found about seven great sharks, up to five meters long.
