Fish don't only have emotions, they show them as well!
While divers were exploring the waters of Thailand's Chaloklum Bay, they witnessed an amazing scene of real friendship. The divers were surprised to find this bittersweet scene!
It was an extraordinary scene of friendship between two little puffer fish!
One of the prickly animals had been trapped in a fishing, which was lying on the seabed. Instead of swimming away and leaving its friend behind, the other fish stayed by its friend's side and refused to abandon it.
No one really knows for how long the trapped fish had been stuck there in the fishing net. The duration of their friendship is also unknown.
Thankfully, the snorkeler who was a volunteer from the marine conservation group
Core Sea had been there and found them just in time.
The man used a shard of broken glass to cautiously release the puffer fish free, with no tools at all. It is an amazing scene to see that even the potential threat, the snorkeler approaching them, the loyal friend remained still by its friends side.
After the last crumb of the tangled netting was removed from the puffer fish's body, the two friends swam away together into the depth of the ocean.
As heartwarming as this show of puffer fish unity is, it might not actually be strange. In spite of long-held beliefs that fish are commonly devoid feeling of intelligence, there is a recent study that states that animals are actually smarter and more social than most people believed.
