Did you catch your kitten playing and she got embarrassed because she was caught doing a crazy thing? That’s what happened with this kitty that had no idea anyone is watching her lick her little fuzzy toy over by the window. She was off in a fairytale land, living the epic dreams of cats everywhere- staring out a window, cleaning her fuzz ball toy. She's so totally absorbed in her toy that she didn’t hear her human walk in the room.
So when she turned around, she's shocked to see her human dad standing there ... with a camera, she wants to ask how long you have been there? When she got caught in the act, she got all adorably embarrassed, and innocently tried to pretend she wasn't just licking her toy but it's too late. The toy is stuck to her tongue. Her reaction is priceless. We've all experienced that awkward moment when someone walks in on us doing something we'd rather have kept...private
Most cats love to play well into adulthood. Playing enables your cat to tune into his hunting instinct, get some exercise and have a little fun. Different cats have different playing preferences. Some love to chase a laser, others enjoy the wand type toys, others enjoy a game of fetch. Try a range of toys and games and see what your cat likes best. Most cats enjoy human attention and companionship. Some are more independent than others but most will not turn down a conversation or a stroke and scratch if they're given the opportunity.
Not only is this good for your cat, but it is shown to lower blood pressure in humans too. So make sure you find some time every day to have a chat and a stroke with your cat. He will love you all the more for it.
