Animals have their own ways to express their love and support towards each other. This is exactly what happened in this story we have for you.
Kolima couldn't run and play around like other dogs, she is too sick to act the way other dogs do for fun. That isn't a big deal because she has a real friend by her side.
According to owner
Felice Caputo, the 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd was born with wobbler syndrome, a spinal condition that gives her a shaky gait and makes it very painful to stand. This syndrome caused
Kolima to spend most of her day crouching on the ground rather than playing around and enjoying her time!
Fortunately,
Kolima's desire to make friends and have companions was noticed and accomplished by
Paolo who is a stubborn 6-year-old donkey.
"After an initial moment of indifference, Paolo saw Kolima's difficulties and took her under his wing," explained Caputo. "The only time of day Kolima finds the energy to stand up and play is when I take her to Paolo."
Ever since,
Caputo has reconsidered his role in the unique bond between the loving donkey and the disabled puppy.
"I thought I adopted a puppy," wrote Caputo, "but every day it becomes clearer that she was adopted by my the donkey."
