A group of marine biologists in the Scottish Shark Tagging Program discovered the creature. This species have never been seen before. They named it the "Sofa Shark", the photo of this new fish went viral. The "Sofa Shark" weighs about 130 pounds, and stretches more than two meters long.
Everyone was amazed by the photos; the marine biologists measured the weight and the height of the shark, and after they filed their findings, they set the shark back into the ocean. The team confirmed that this was an unexpected discovery, it was a real surprise.
