A White Lion And A White Tiger Are Making A Family, Meet The "Ligers"

10-4-2015 5-41-20 PM Life always surprises us with the most amazing relationship mixes.  We see couples that we never expect to see together.  Surprisingly, animals too have wonderful mixes.  It is witnessed in the bond between cats and dogs, sometimes dogs and pigs and even ducks and cats.  This mix is one of them, it went against all odds. 10-4-2015 5-41-33 PM There are about 300 white lions in the world, and 1200 white tigers.   But there is only one white lion and one white tiger that are together.  They've created a family and now have their own little ones. The lion, Saraswatie and the tiger, Ivory, finally met their cubs, and a new breed was created, Ligers.  Yeti, Odlin, Apollo and Sampson are the first to be known as Lingers. The family is living at the T.I.G.E.R.S Sanctuary.  Their cuteness worms the hearts of those who ponder at them.  In the video, you will witness their family photos; a bundle of happiness.  They are a very rare and special family. 10-4-2015 5-41-43 PM White tigers are the biggest in the cat family, weighing up to 300 kilograms and can be 3.3 meters long.  During their growth the cubs stay close to their mother for the first 2 years of their life.  Tigers are very fast, their speed reaches up to 65 kph (40 mph) and can jump as high as 5 meters.  Tigers are also known to be good swimmers; they can swim 6 kilometers none-stop. White tigers are very rare, to every 1 white tiger there are 1000 tigers found.  A group of tigers is known as a streak. There are many spices of tigers: Siberian Tiger, Bengal Tiger, Malayan Tiger, Indochinese Tiger and South China Tiger.
