Is this what they raised a nine years old boy on? To kill an innocent soul? What happened in this video was something shocking, it will make you wonder how those parents allowed their boy to do this, is it the right way to celebrate a birthday?
The young son of Greg Sutley, named Reed, he turned 9, so it's time to celebrate, and instead of celebrating with a cake, and making a happy wish before blowing the candles, singing songs and play with friends, his dad found that it's better to celebrate his son's birthday by giving him a chance to hunt, by killing a bear! So he took a group of children with him, to watch and learn. Instead of having a stuffed teddy bear as a birthday gift, his dad wanted to give him a real bear for his birthday.
As Reed explained in the video "That's my bear", he was smiling to the camera, like he was going to the toy shop. The father handled his son a rifle, the nine years old laughing; he is feeling happy for his first kill. The camera started to focus on one of the bears, the bear was lying peacefully, eating, and playing with his friends, and by the instructions told by the father , the boy shoot him. The bear's companion ran away into the woods, leaving their friend in a pool of red blood under his little head. On the other hand, the boys are laughing happily, it's like a victory for them.
If you don't know who is Greg Sutley, he is the owner of Smoky River Outfitting, a hunting company in Alberta, Canada. And this is what he raised his son on, he deleted the video from his YouTube channel after it was posted, the video above is a repost of it.
It's important to raise your kids on loving animals and saving them, not to take their right of living to gain a stupid trophy or to celebrate a birthday.
