A Hero Dog Has Been In Iraq For 6 Years For Service. Watch What Happens When He Gets Home
This story is about a unique hero. He is a ten-year-old German Shepherd named Dexter who served overseas. Dexter has saved many lives of countless American soldiers and marines and a huge number of innocent civilians as well.
Thanks to his astonishing nose, he could detect a garbage truck filled with C-4 explosives that without his help, many innocent Americans would be killed!
After working for 15 hours per day for six years, Dexter has in fact earned his retirement. Coming back home, getting the best food and being surrounded by friends. This is the life that Dexter will live for the rest of his precious life.
Dexter, is a real hero, has served in both Afghanistan and Iraq. But when he was getting retired, the non-profit group "Save-A-Vet" saved him from being euthanized.
“He’s got doctors that will work on him for free… He’s going to get a nice fat steak… If he gets along with people, we’ll bring him around people, if he gets along with animals, we’ll bring him to a farm so he can play with animals. Whatever he wants, we’ll give him, he’s earned it!”
It is not known why such courageous animals aren't classified as official "veterans" yet! The only classification they have is as police dogs or legitimate officers.
Thank God, for what Dexter and dogs like him did to save American soldiers and marines who got the chance to see their families again.
Welcome home, Dexter, you are such a hero!
